BMW Motorrad has unveiled the all-new BMW F 450 R—a standalone, lightweight naked bike crafted specifically for maximum street agility and high-octane fun. Inspired directly by the aggressive lines of the high-performance S 1000 R, this mid-capacity roadster brings big-bike attitude and premium technology into an exceptionally accessible package.

At the heart of the F 450 R is a freshly developed 420 cc fuel-injected parallel-twin engine. Outputting 35 kW (48 hp) at 8,750 rpm and 43 Nm of torque at 6,750 rpm, it’s tuned specifically for instant road response. The 135-degree crankpin offset delivers a thrilling, characterful exhaust note through the sleek stainless-steel underfloor muffler.
Built around a high-rigidity tubular steel space frame using the engine as a stressed member, the F 450 R boasts a short wheelbase for razor-sharp turn-in. Front suspension duties are handled by a robust 43 mm KYB upside-down fork, paired with an aluminum hollow-cast swingarm and KYB rear strut. Stopping power comes via top-shelf Brembo 4-piston radial calipers clamping a 310 mm front disc, backed by cornering-sensitive ABS Pro.
